Confident Voice Studio is a collaborative studio. Teachers collaborate, may team teach, may 'guest teach' for another teacher's students, and we support each other by sharing best practices, resources, and our experience.

A Few Things You Should Know About Confident Voice Studio

1. All teachers at Confident Voice Studio begin on a 90 day probationary period. This is a trial period to
make sure that the teacher is a good fit for Confident Voice Studio and that Confident Voice Studio is a good fit for the teacher. This is an “employment-at-will” arrangement and at the end of the probationary period either party may end the agreement.

2. Teachers are employees and will receive a w2 form at the end of the tax. Teachers are paid a teaching rate and an administrative (non-teaching) rate for meetings, trainings, prep, recitals, etc. Teaching rates are 20-28/hour. Admin rate is $14.75/hour.

3. Since we work with children and families, teachers should refrain from doing anything that would reflect negatively on Confident Voice Studio or on themselves as a teacher. This includes but isn't limited to: drug use, excessive drinking, etc.

4. Confident Voice Studio is a collaborative music school and all teachers are expected to participate in studio activities. We are not renting rooms to teachers. We are inviting teachers to join us in a collaborative musical journey.

5. Excessive absences and rescheduled lessons will not be tolerated. Teachers should strive to be at their scheduled lessons each week and should have no more than 1 absence each 16 weeks. Students and parents need consistency and routine.

6. Teachers must arrive at least 15 minutes before their first class in their shift to make sure that they are properly prepared and ready to greet their students when they arrive.

Employment with Confident Voice Studio is contingent on a background check. This may include some or all of the following: County and State Criminal Records, SSN Verification, Address History, Sexual Offender Registry, etc. (We do not check credit history.) Be prepared to share your SSN with us during your first interview or phone screen.
